STEP 5: Install flashing

5.1

Apply flashing mastic to the bottom of the flashings perimeter to create a water tight seal on all three

outer edges of the flashing.

5.2

Position the flashing above the base plate with the three outer edges of the flashing under the layer of

composite shingle.

5.3

Ensure that the layer of composite shingle sets flush with the raised portion of the flashing. Upon

completion it should appear as shown.

CAUTION: Flashings may have sharp edges.

Wearing safety gloves is recommended while

handling flashings.
